Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is one of the most hotly anticipated tech events of the year. Sometimes, it would correct the direction of the entire tech industry. The other times, it would convince the world they need another gadget in their lives. Not only media, fans and users look forward to this event, rivals also keep a deep tap on what would come out of Cupertino. It usually is a restless time for everyone until the Keynote is delivered.

For the past few years, WWDC has been a bit muted if not outright meh. Except for Apple's in-house silicon announcement for Macs, there isn't anything major that has come out of Cupertino in almost a decade.

Things may very well change this time around. The rumor mill is in full swing, especially surrounding Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset. Will Apple enter the nascent arena and create a completely new stream of revenue for Apple, or would it become one the rare misses on Apple's part? Only time will tell.

There are also rumors surrounding the launch of the new MacBook Air with 15-inch screen. Apple is also rumored to take steps towards opening its tightly guarded ecosystems to comply with European Union's Digital Markets Act (DMA)

The WWDC will kick off with the keynote on June 5th at 10AM PT/12PM CT. The event will be both in-person and online. CEO Tim Cook is expected to kick things off followed by several top executives. The event will be live streamed from Apple's YouTube Channel as well as Apple's Web. The prerecorded would also be made available via the YouTube channel after the event is aired.
